Torah lectures and learning program at KEHILAT ZION

“Perhaps you will say that until I gather money I will come back and read
Until I buy what I need and I’ll get out of business and I’ll be back
And I’ll read. If that thought comes to mind
You do not have the crown of Torah to the world
But he made your doctrine permanent and your work temporary
You will say that when I turn, I will not turn away,
(Rambam, Hilchot Talmud Torah 3: 7)

Kehilat Zion- a Lighthouse of Torah

“First rights”

The Kehilat Zion community in Hong Kong has merited to be a lighthouse that disseminates the light of Torah, being the largest Torah center within Eastern Asia, in the manner of “He lit up the face of the East until Hevron”. There is no doubt that the merit of Maran the Ben Ish Hai ob’m who founded and fostered the community about one hundred twenty years ago in addition to other communities in the East, has accompanied the community until today and helped it grow in Torah and piety.

Members of the community and visitors can always participate in Torah lectures on a regular basis on in-depth Jewish Law and Medrash given clearly and pleasantly by the community rabbi, Hagaon Rabbi Netanel Meoded shlit’a. In his lectures he integrates in depth Jewish Law from Sages of the East such as Maran the Ben Ish Hai ob’m, Sages of Aram Sova who founded the community, as well as his rabbis in Israel, the Rosh Yeshivas of the Hevron Yeshiva, and his mentor Hagaon Rabbi Ovadia Yosef ob’m.

The Rabbi also serves as the address for any question in Jewish Law, small or big, and he has printed a book Mizrach Shemesh in which he has determined answers to difficult and complicated questions that have arisen in the Far East.

The Rabbi can be contacted for any questions at the community email: kzionhk@yahoo.com
